- Abstract
Presents information on solvothermal synthesis of titanium phosphides. Group IV transition metal phosphides have a number of phases with different stoichiometries. Among these, titanium phosphide has a high thermal stability, inertness to chemical attack, high thermal and electrical conductivity, high hardness and strength. In the solvothermal process, nascent phosphorus and titanium were generated by reducing titanium chloride and combined forming titanium phosphides.
