- Abstract
The article shares lessons learned about trauma, anxiety and stress disorders. Topics discussed include the role of trauma in mental health, diagnosis and prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and acute stress disorder, evolution of complex PTSD and its overlap with borderline personality disorder, and research efforts to identify psychotherapies, medications and lifestyle changes for recovery and resilience in individuals with mental health disorders.
