- Abstract
This article discusses a case of a pregnant woman who was referred to a medical center due to severe oligohydramnios involving the fetus. Fetal magnetic resonance imaging revealed lower urinary tract obstruction (LUTO), and the medical team had to determine the appropriate delivery method. They decided to continue the pregnancy until reaching optimal fetal body weight and gestational age for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support, considering the risk of severe respiratory failure. The baby was delivered by elective cesarean section and experienced respiratory issues but eventually recovered. The article emphasizes the need for further discussion on the optimal timing of delivery in fetuses with LUTO.
