- Title
the future of SCENOGRAPHY.
- Authors
Aronson, Arnold
- Abstract
The article focuses on scenography. It states that scenography's history can be described as a swinging pendulum between space and image and it is where theatrical function is acknowledged and emphasized. It notes great French historian of scenography Denis Bablet who characterized the twentieth-century scenography's primary impulse as the battle with space. It indicates the expansion of the ubiquity of images through electronic dissemination. The author stresses that scenographic space and imagery has always reflected sensibilities and technology in the past.
