- Abstract
An essay is presented on the theatrical influence of Elizabethan plays grouped under the label, Turk plays. It explains the two plays "The Tragical History, Admirable Achievements and Various Events of Guy Earl of Warwick" published in 1661 and "The Four Prentices of London," by Thomas Heywood published in 1615. The story of legendary English hero Guy of Warwick was reportedly well known during the early modern period.
