- Abstract
The article reports on the potential hazards of soil liquefaction following an earthquake. The author notes the release of a report evaluating the existing methods and approaches in assessing the factors which contribute to the development of soil liquefaction and its effects, the establishment of liquefaction history database, and highlights the role of effective infrastructural engineering in mitigating the negative impact of liquefaction to the economy and the lives of the people.
