The article focuses on 42-year old male physician infected with rabies in Virginia in 2009. It details all the symptoms experienced by the patient three months after an encounter with a dog while in India. It describes the clinical course and treatment that the patient undergone after contacting the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmatory diagnostic testing.
