- Abstract
Editorial for "Feasibility of Quantitative MRI using 3D-QALAS for Discriminating Immunohistochemical Status in Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast" This has its importance as being noninvasive, but also, as discussed in the article, a way of scrutinizing and defining areas outside the seen tumor.[1] Neoplasms are not heterogeneous.[[4], [6]] Better diagnostic information may help us both give a more accurate diagnosis, but maybe even more important, help us place the biopsy needle on the right spot. This article presents an interesting conclusion: "The mean values from 3D quantitative MRI with QALAS were associated with the HR status, Ki-67 level, and TN status of IDC in the breast, whereas T1 values discriminated tumors based on the HR status.
