- Abstract
The article examines whether an emamectin-selected (Ema-SEL) population of Spodoptera litura can render cross-resistance to other insecticides. It was found that resistance to emamectin in Ema-SEL increases significantly after three rounds of selection. Resistance to emamectin was also found to be controlled by more than one locus. Insecticides with different modes of action is recommended to reduce emamectin selection pressure.
