- Abstract
The article presents a research study which examines the insecticidal actions of mammalian galectin-1 against diamondback moth. According to the article, the development of diamondback moth or Plutella xylostella larvae was disturbed after they were fed with recombinant GAL 1. It highlights that the carbohydrate recognition of GAL 1 recognizes the structural motif N-acetyl lactosamine
