- Abstract
The article explores the relevance of quality in education, conceptualizing it as a multifaceted construct that transcends the mere transmission of knowledge. The general objective of the research is to deepen the understanding of this concept and investigate strategies and practices that contribute to its promotion within educational institutions. To achieve this purpose, the study unfolds into specific objectives, which include the analysis of the various dimensions of quality in education and the assessment of their impacts on the educational process. Furthermore, the article exemplifies how quality principles can be applied to the management and pedagogical activities of a school institution. The methodology used is based on qualitative bibliographical review research, playing a fundamental role in the exploration and contextualization of strategies that aim to promote quality in education. Based on the literature review and identified characteristics, the article offers practical and concrete recommendations that can be implemented to improve the quality of management and pedagogical activities of educational institutions. The study seeks to enrich the debate on quality in education, providing insights and guidelines that can be applied by educational institutions in search of excellence in the teaching and learning process. Quality in education is intrinsically associated with the academic, social and personal development of students, the training and training of educators, school infrastructure, the active participation of parents and adaptation to changes in the educational context. Therefore, we can infer that promoting quality in education requires a holistic and carefully planned approach, which takes all these elements into account.
