- Abstract
In this communication, some results verified in the training entitled "Cinema, ERER and Childhood" are presented, carried out by the Associação de Educadories Negres de Santa Catarina, an institution aimed at black and non-black teachers interested in dialoguing on Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) and act in the anti-racist fight, in the fight against prejudice and racial discrimination. Training has been taking place in partnership with the municipal education departments of São José and Araranguá (Florianópolis, Camboriú). In 2021, the Association carried out the "training cycle: black cinema, childhood and ERER" with the education departments of the municipalities of São José, Florianópolis and Palhoça. The positive evaluation of these meetings resulted in a training of 20 hours, in the year 2022. With this training, it is intended to approach and problematize ERER, in dialogue with cinematographic works, in the format of short films and animations, which feature the presence of black people in their narratives. Thus, the objectives are: to bring Cinema Negro to kindergarten and elementary school teachers in the municipalities of São José, Araranguá and Camboriú; discuss ethnic-racial issues from audiovisual resources; provide dialogue and debate that help in reflection on black protagonism; and record the children's aesthetic experience with audiovisuals. The training is based on Law n° 10.639, of January 10, 2003, and its guidelines, and dialogues with Noguera and Alves (2019), Azevedo e Silva (2014), and Gomes (2012). In the development of this training, the participants were invited to choose a film, show it to the children and make a report, highlighting the place and organization of times and space, some reactions of the child/adolescent during the exhibition, excerpts that most called the attention of the children/adolescents. When analyzing the training process "Cinema, ERER and childhood", it is possible to say that, as a tool in the implementation of Law n° 10.639, of January 10, 2003, in the school space, films with black characters are of great help in the elaboration of a debate against racism.
