- Abstract
Dissolved organic matter (DOM) exists widely in natural water and is an important part of water ecosystem. The presence of DOM affects the physical and chemical properties of natural water such as chromaticity and smell. It affects the material and energy circulation of biological processes and the structure and composition of bacterial colony in water ecosystem, and it also affects the morphological structure, toxicity and bioavailability of environmental pollutants in water. This paper reviews the research progress of DOM in water ecosystem in recent years, including the composition and characterization of DOM in water environment. Spectroscopy characteristics and environmental effect of DOM in natural water bodies are analyzed to reveal the components and sources of water environmental pollution, which is of great significance for water environmental pollution control.
