- Authors
Beaudet, Geneviève
- Abstract
The article offers news briefs from the indigenous sociopolitical world in Québec. The Algonquin communities from Wolf Lake and Eagle Village (Québec) expressed opposition toward the development of a rare earth open pit mine in 2014. Former Senator and Innu Chief Aurélien Gill died on January 17, 2015. The mobilization to create a national commission to investigate the disappearance and murders of indigenous women is growing.
