- Title
MEASURING CORRELATION WITH A SHORT-CUT METHOD.
- Authors
Gross, Jack L.
- Abstract
The article presents a statistical technique for the rapid calculation of a correlation index. A graphic method is discussed which measures the correlation of certain variables. The procedure is found to be effective in most linear equations. Certain criteria must exist in order to use this technique. They include a short-cut method for calculating the coefficient of correlation, an adequate appromixation, and a relationship that justifies mathematical analysis. This method of graphic analysis is accurate when correlation is high rather than low.
