- Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of different additives on the in vitro fermentation characteristics of mixed silage of alfalfa and peanut vine, so as to provide theoretical basis for the application of additives in production practice. The treatment groups were control (CK) group, 1×106 CFU/g FW Lactobacil⁃ lus plantarum (Lp) group, 5 g/kg FW cellulase (Ce) group, 1×106 CFU/g FW Lactobacillus plantarum + 5 g/kg FW cellulase (Lp+Ce) group, 40 g/kg DM tannin (Ta) group, 1×106 CFU/g FW Lactobacillus plantarum + 40 g/kg DM tannin (Lp+Ta) group, 5 g/kg FW cellulase + 40 g/kg DM tannin (Ce+Ta) group, 5 g/kg FW cellulase + 40 g/kg DM tannin + 1×106 CFU/g FW Lactobacillus plantarum (Lp+Ce+Ta) group. Each treatment was repeated 4 times. After 45 days of storage at room temperature, in vitro fermentation experiments were carried out, with a total of 8 treatments. The results showed that additive treatment had no significant effect on pH (P>0.05). Compared with CK group, the content of NH3-N in treatment group decreased significantly (P<0.05). And the content of NH3-N in Ta group was significantly lower than that in Lp, Ce and Ce+Lp groups, but higher than that in Ce+Lp, Ce+Ta and Ce+Lp+Ta groups(P<0.05). The ratio of acetic acid to propionic acid in Ce, Ce+Lp, Ce+Ta and Ce+Lp+Ta groups was significantly lower than that in CK group(P<0.05). The butyric acid content of Ce+Ta and Ce+Lp+Ta was significantly lower than that of Ce and Ce+Lp, but higher than that of other treatments (P<0.05). Except for Ce+Ta, the TVFA of Ta group was significantly lower than that of other treatment groups (P<0.05). The gas production of Lp+Ta, Ce+Ta and Lp+Ce+Ta groups was significantly lower than that of other treatment groups (P<0.05). DMD in CK, Lp and Ce groups was significantly higher than that in Ta, Lp+Ta and Lp+Ce+Ta groups. CP in Ta, Lp+Ta, Ce+Ta and Lp+Ce+ Ta groups was significantly lower than that in CK, Lp, Ce and Lp+Ce groups (P<0.05). NDFD in Lp+Ta, Ce+Ta and Lp+Ce+Ta groups was significantly lower than that in Lp, Ce and Lp+Ce groups, while ADFD in CK, Lp, Ce and Ta groups was significantly higher than that in other groups (P<0.05). To sum up, different additive treatments could reduce the content of NH3-N in rumen fermentation, in which the addition of tannin could significantly reduce gas production and CPD, and the addition of cellulase or Lacto⁃ bacillus plantarum could significantly alleviate the inhibitory effect of tannin on TVFA.
