- Title
The "Foreign TA Problem" as a Demand for Aesthetic Labor.
- Abstract
The author offers insights on a study published within the issue which focused on the language policy for international students that work as teaching assistants (TA) at the University of Minnesota. Topics discussed include the possibility of training of these TA to ensure overall English language proficiency, the aesthetic labor obligations of TA which may be attributed to the neoliberalization of universities in North America, and the speech accent-related expectations from foreign TA.
