- Abstract
The article presents a history of the Fulbright international exchange program, which was established in 1946 by U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas, who introduced legislation to establish an international exchange program to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and people of other countries. In the article the author discusses his involvement in the program and the ways in which the program can help the career development of health educators.
