- Abstract
The article discusses energy conservation by the Utilities and Energy Management (UEM) department at Texas A&M University, focusing on an initiative to renovate the domestic hot water (DHW) system to improve water delivery and temperature on campus. Analysis of the DHW system with simulation software is presented, including a thermal loop model of utility plant operations, estimation of energy savings from water supply flow reduction, and the potential benefits of automatic control devices.
