- Abstract
A letter to the editor of the journal "Sleep & Biological Rhythms" discusses a study on the effects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) on sleep quality in pregnant women. The study found that CBT, with or without the use of Citrus aurantium essential oil, improved anxiety and quality of life in pregnant women, but did not significantly improve sleep quality. The letter suggests that future studies should use additional objective measures, such as sleep diaries and actigraphy, to assess sleep quality more accurately. The authors emphasize the importance of the study in highlighting the benefits of CBT for anxiety and quality of life during pregnancy.
