- Abstract
Progress in elevating student scores on achievement tests has been frustratingly slow, but we are making progress in generating knowledge that can support teacher educators in educating teachers who can address these complex issues. Teacher educators are making progress in applying our body of knowledge to the most pressing challenges in teacher education, designing and using multiple measures of success, and demonstrating our impact. The teacher pay penalty has hit a new high: Trends in the teacher wage and compensation gaps through 2017. Beyond damage-centered teacher education: Humanizing pedagogy for teacher educators and preservice teachers.
