- Abstract
The article reports on a study of associations between camper characteristics and response to the elevated pollution episode in Lake Couchiching in Ontario on June 30, 1983. The factors considered in the analysis which include camper behavior, symptoms, and pulmonary function of forced vital capacity (FVC) are presented. Results show greater decrements in FVC in asthmatics than in nonasthmatics. Lack of regression is reportedly more variable in time and magnitude in terms of asthmatic response.
