- Abstract
This study examines the relationship between self-reported attachment styles and hostility in intimate relationships. In this sample of convicted male batterers. all four attachment styles were represented in proportions which are similar to nonviolent samples. Multivariate analysis of variance revealed significant differences among the attachment styles on resentment, suspiciousness, and guilt. Implications of the findings are discussed.
