- Abstract
However, the change in OT score from baseline to 3 months later predicted treatment response independent of the number of relapses in the year before baseline, strongly indicating that OT change reflects a treatment response independent of recent disease activity. B Dear Editor b , Responding to a letter by Santos et al. concerning our manuscript "Olfactory threshold as a biomarker of disease activity", we appreciate the interest in our work.[1] The authors express concerns essentially hypothesizing that olfactory threshold (OT) may rather be a biomarker of disease activity than of treatment response. Olfactory threshold predicts treatment response in relapsing multiple sclerosis.
