- Abstract
Tuberculosis dactylitis (TD) is an uncommon manifestation of extrapulmonary tuberculosis involving the soft tissues and bones of fingers or toes.[1] This disease commonly occurs in children and immunocompromised patients and is indolent in nature.[1] Herein, we report a case of TD in an immunocompetent young man presenting as an isolated rapidly progressive swollen toe. There was no history of contact with farmland or patients with tuberculosis before the development of the lesion. This case highlights extrapulmonary tuberculosis manifesting as an isolated swollen toe in an immunocompetent patient.
