- Abstract
This article discusses recent advances in photoredox catalysis, which is a field of organic chemistry that allows for the efficient construction of non-traditional bonds. The development of new activation modes based on single electron transfers has led to innovative bond-forming protocols that can be applied in various research fields such as medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, and organic electronics. Photoredox catalysis has also been extended to other areas requiring low amounts of catalysts, such as photopolymerization. The article includes six articles in total, consisting of four research articles and two reviews, which explore different aspects of photoredox catalysis.
