- Abstract
The article presents information on the improvement of mariculture processes for production of human food and animal feed from the living resources of the ocean. It is stated that to enhance the production of sea food, the sea has to be protected from pollution, predation, diseases and extreme weather changes. Several forms of mollusks including the American oyster and the Mercenaria have been reared by the hatchery and nursery for the seafood market. The process to culture them in the laboratory from eggs and sperms is described. Farming for crustaceans, and Finfish are also discussed.
