- Abstract
Objective: To understand the intentionality of drug relapse action by women assisted at a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs. Method: research based on Alfred Schütz's Social Phenomenology, conducted with 20 women assisted at a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs. Data production was based on phenomenological interview. Results: Women experiencing relapse to drug use hope to forget the problems that occurred in their lives such as the violence they suffered, the quarrels and the loss of their families. And to overcome them, they seek support in the effects of drug use that provides joy and well-being. Conclusion: the reasons attributed by women to drug use relapse involve, besides their life histories, also, influences of their social relations.
