- Abstract
Below are the results of the bibliographic review carried out in 4 databases: Scielo, Science Direct, Dialnet y Redalyc between 2012 and 2017. The objective was to analyze the topic of academic stress in children aged 8 to 12 years. A selection of 77 bibliographical references was initially made in order to later analyze the articles that met the inclusion criteria (boys and girls with ages ranging between 8 and 12 years, Spanish-speaking, related to stress within educational contexts and date of publication) It was concluded that the characteristics identified in terms of school stress, are feasible to be preventable, and the identification of stressors during childhood, allows to implement preventive actions. At the same time, it was evidenced as a global research topic from clinical or psychological perspectives, in adult and adolescent populations, being little studied specifically in childhood education and educational contexts.
