Abstract
Chapter 11 of the book "Silence in Philosophy, Literature, and Art" by Steven Bindeman is presented. Topics discussed include the works of artist Jorge Luis Borges and his affinity with silence and Ludwig Wittgenstein's philosophy, the importance of language and its relation to silence for Borges, and his short story "The Library of Babel."
