- Abstract
The article talks about the rising number of women with disabilities as compared to men with disabilities. According to the World Bank report, only 20 percent women with disabilities are employed, and are amongst the most disadvantaged and vulnerable minorities. It states that disability is only briefly discussed in the Sustainable Development Goals. It notes the importance of empowering disabled women for political, economic and social development.
