- Authors
Bruckner, Brian A.; Reardon, Michael J.
- Abstract
The article discusses various factors related to benign cardiac tumor. Myxoma is considered to be the most common benign primary cardiac tumor. The next most common benign cardiac tumor is paraganglioma. It is reported that benign cardiac tumors will continue to be present and will require standard cardiac surgery resection techniques. With the advancement in imaging technologies including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), patients are likely to benefit from more focused surgical and diagnostic interventions.
