- Abstract
This article presents the results of one of the research developed from the research group of human occupation in community processes, Manuela Beltran University on the design and implementation of a strategy of response to the core problem affecting the quality of life and occupational performance in children from 1 to 4 years at school, in the Fountain of Life School of Soacha. The overall objective of the study was to design and implement a strategy for answers to the problematic nuclei present in children aged 1 to 4 years of the Fountain of Life College that affect their quality of life and occupational performance. The research conducted was qualitative - descriptive. Among the methodologies and techniques for data collection was used focus groups and problem tree methodology was re-reading the Comprehensive Needs. Initially, the information reported by teachers and parents, was recorded in a matrix of needs and comprehensive reading for information analysis is to define categories such as: Quality of Life, Lifestyles, occupational performance, self-care, education and game, categories that also guided the presentation of results. In the most relevant results are found in the focus group parents and teachers concerned within nuclei problem related quality of life: unmet needs, how you make things, time devoted to it and in the nuclei problem related to school performance concern: there are learning problems, difficulties in some vowels or numbers, children are constantly distracted the subjects taught during the school day some kids are tired from arriving at school, in the establishment of school competitions, psychological needs such as consistency in caregiver, stimulating daily activities and behavior problems, emotional and development, among others. Regarding the problem tree, the parents spoke as the main core problematic in children 1 to 4 years that affect their quality of life and occupational performance, the inappropriate expression of affection and teachers was low and exploration game affection. Since nuclei reported problem, the reality that the population is exposed and the review of different literature, designing a recreational strategy to be implemented by parents and teachers, called the Chest of Ben. We conclude that the performance of school activities is affected by the environment to which the child is exposed, children require a variety of activities both at home and in school and out, allowing potentiate their development, children learn by doing and imitating and do so much with parents as with teachers and with regard to quality of life concluded that it is important to implement the strategy to promote healthy lifestyles, enabling children to improve their habits at school and provide a healthier environment and enriching their daily lives.
