- Abstract
Performance is a picture of the successful results of employees' ability to complete a job. In other words, a highperformance result will emerge from the work behavior of highly result-oriented employees. The opposite happens; if the orientation of employee work behavior is low, it can result in low performance as well. Therefore, this research study is helpful for organizations in taking policies that are oriented towards encouraging high employee performance and excelling in winning the competition. This is because organizational performance depends on employee performance. This research is explanatory research, which aims to test the hypothesis. Data analysis was performed using a sample of 200 finance employees. Samples of employees are those who work for financial companies in two regions in Indonesia, namely Yogyakarta and Central Java. Both areas have a reasonably high level of trade growth. Hypothesis testing was carried out using AMOS 23.0 to determine the effect of the path. The sampling procedure used purposive sampling, where the sample was determined based on criteria. The conclusion of this study shows that employee performance can be improved by increasing creative work behavior and employee curiosity. This article provides a new perspective on improving employee performance by discussing the predictor variables of innovative work behavior and curiosity as mediating variables.
