- Abstract
The article focuses on the Hague and the Hague-Visby Rule which proclaims the carrier's exoneration in the presence of perils, dangers and accidents of the sea and qualifying for the rules' sea peril exception under English, Canadian and the U.S. law. Topics include the exception of the U.S. which adopted the Hague Rules but the rest of the countries stated to have applied the Visby Rules, and the 17 carrier liability exemptions under the Hague and the Visby Rules based on English common law.
