The use of small-scale interventions to transform urban landscapes and consequentially the lives of people at an even larger scale is becoming a fundamental element in landscape architecture particularly in the context of the global economic crisis. This paper will look into the potency of smallscale design landscape interventions and their role in placemaking and perception as a sustainable strategy for urban regeneration.
