- Abstract
The article focuses on a research regarding employee downsizing and its effect on the remaining employees within traumatized organization. It states that the impact of downsizing on employees includes physical illness, extreme disengagement, and emotional trauma. It discusses the field of positive psychology, application of Bowen Family Systems Theory, importance of positive cognitive strategies, and the value of positive emotions and spirals which contribute to organizational resiliency.
