- Abstract
The article explores opportunities for mainstreaming intersectionality in International Human Rights Law (IHRL) to address the corrective rape of African American lesbians in South Africa. It discusses fundamental rights implicated under the IHRL treaties including right to equality and non-discrimination, protection from violence, right to life, liberty and security, prevention of torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment, right to education and peripheral protections.
