- Abstract
The article highlights the use of teriparatide for faster fracture repair in humans. A study that tested teriparatide on postmenopausal women aged 45-85 years-old who had a dorsally angulated distal radial fracture showed that there was no significant difference between the 40 microgram dose of teriparatide versus placebo and the 40 microgram versus 20 microgram dose for fracture. The study concluded that the shortened healing time for the 20 microgram dose still supports the accelerated repair time caused by teriparatide.
