- Abstract
The article discusses the concept of voting in a corporate setting. It explores the requirements for individuals to be voted and be given a role in corporate governance and the purposes of voting. It identifies the attributes that distinguish shareholder voting such as the connection between shares and the voter, the impact of the ability to buy and sell shares on voting, and the role of corporate voting on corporate authority flows. A discussion of various theories on corporate voting is also presented.
