The article discusses public education improvements in relation to economic inequality in America as of 2015, and it mentions the author's piece "Rodrigo's Equation: Race, Capitalism, and the Search for Reform" from 2014 which was evaluated by writer Steven A. Ramirez in his article "Rodrigo's Abstraction: Capitalism, Inequality, and Reform Over Time and Space" which appears in this 2015 issue of the journal. Job loss fears, curricular reform, and a minimum wage increase proposal are examined.
