- Title
Nightshift work and risk of breast cancer and other cancers—a critical review of the epidemiologic evidence.
- Authors
Kolstad, Henrika
- Abstract
The article examines the role of nightshift work in the risk of breast cancer and other cancers. Three methods were used in the study including computerized search in PudMed in May 2007, extraction of references from the bibliographies of the articles used, and search in Science Citation Index. It concludes that there is limited evidence for casual association between nightshift work and breast cancer while insufficient evidence for other cancers like prostate cancer and colon cancer.
