- Abstract
Assesses whether inhibition of the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO) pathway, which activity is key for cell growth and survival, reduces the excessive number of Kupffer cells and attenuates liver inflammation and fibrosis. Events critical in the initiation of the inflammatory cascade leading to liver fibrosis; Action taken to ascertain the cellular distribution of the 5-LO pathway in the liver; Factor associated with the anti-proliferative properties of 5-LO inhibition.
