- Abstract
Although right hemicolectomy or extended right hemicolectomy has been deemed a standard procedure for right-sided colon cancer, it sacrifices the pivotal function of the ileocecal valve, which has been demonstrated by previous studies [[1]-[3]]. The attached video demonstrates the details of our operative technique and the feasibility of performing laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with complete mesocolic excision, and preservation of ileocolic vessels and the ileocecal valve.
