- Abstract
The article presents an analysis on the recent salary trends among the workforce in the U.S., specifically for engineers. Accordingly, for 2008, the most of everyone enjoyed a greater yearly salary boost than has been found in nearly a decade. The trend in the last 20 years in particular is said to have been essential increases in salaries and overall packages, in as much as 40 to 60% increases. The author stresses that compared to engineers of other disciplines, engineers still boast one of the highest median salaries.
