- Abstract
The article focuses on the programs that allow the U.S. courts and corrections facilities to monitor the use of computer by sex offender. It discusses the use of computer programs including the Field Search program by the U.S. National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center (NLECTC) and Impulse Control program by the U.S. Internet Probation and Parole Control (IPPC) in order to monitor. Internet monitoring as a tool to ensure that offenders prevent future victims is also discussed.
