The article explores the benefits of Public Health England's (PHE) Emergency Department Syndromic Surveillance System. topics covered include the underlying aims of the syndromic surveillance service, the development of a partnership model that will bring together the syndromic surveillance program with academic collaborators and the integration of syndromic surveillance-related activities and academic research in England.
