- Abstract
We analyze the degree of coherence of radar signals with parameter fluctuations. For the Gaussian fluctuations with limited variance, the cases of phase and frequency fluctuations are considered. The entropy of the signal distribution over the proper subspaces of its correlation matrix is used as a quantitative measure of the signal-coherence degree. It is shown that this entropy allows one to obtain a quantitative and information-intensive assessment of the signal-coherence degree.
