- Authors
Phillips, Melinda
- Abstract
The article discusses the right of people with disabilities to equality in the U.S. based on the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and Equal Pay Act of 1963. It is argued that section 14 (c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) of 1938 contains provisions allowing people with disabilities to be subjected to subminimum wages and suffer under segregated work settings. It is emphasized that people with disabilities should be integrated in the workplace.
