The article presents a study conducted by a group of marine biologists led by Susan Parks of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) on another marine pollution threat. The researchers have assessed that each one of the whales they have studied, got louder as ambient noise levels went up regardless of age and gender. It also speculates on whales which may be able to change their call frequency to make themselves heard above rising background noise.
